Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul have finally spoken out following recent reports that the Utah Division of Child and Family Services, or DCFS, has raised concerns about Taylor Frankie Paul's parenting. The two men, who both share children with the "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star, addressed the situation in a joint statement released late Tuesday.
In the statement, Mortensen and Paul said they have been cooperating fully with DCFS since the agency opened its investigation. They emphasized that their primary concern is the safety and well-being of the children involved. "We have both been working with the proper authorities to ensure that our kids are in a safe and stable environment," the statement read. "This has been a difficult time for everyone, but we are committed to doing what is best for the children."
The DCFS inquiry reportedly stems from incidents that occurred during Taylor Frankie Paul's custody time. Neither Mortensen nor Paul provided specific details about the allegations, but they expressed frustration with the public nature of the case. "We never wanted this to play out in the media," they said. "Our focus has always been on protecting our children from unnecessary attention and stress."
Taylor Frankie Paul has not publicly responded to the latest statements from her ex-partners. The reality star has previously denied any wrongdoing regarding her parenting. The DCFS investigation remains ongoing, and no formal charges have been filed at this time. Both Mortensen and Paul have asked for privacy as the process continues.
