Chris Hemsworth may play a god with a hammer on screen, but in real life, he is just as prone to human error as any other parent. The Australian actor recently opened up about a moment that he calls a major parenting fail, one that ended with one of his children stranded and waiting for a rescue.
During a candid interview, Hemsworth recalled the incident involving one of his three kids with wife Elsa Pataky. He admitted that he had been distracted and made a simple but costly mistake. Without going into every detail, he explained that he left his child in a situation where they could not get home on their own. The child had to wait for help, and Hemsworth felt terrible about it.
The actor did not try to downplay the error. He said it was a harsh reminder that even when you are a celebrity, parenting does not come with a manual. He stressed that no matter how much you plan, things can go wrong. The key, he noted, is to own up to it and learn from the experience.
Fans might expect perfection from their favorite stars, but Hemsworth's honesty about the slip-up shows a relatable side. He is not the first parent to make a mistake, and he certainly will not be the last. For now, he is just grateful that the situation ended safely and that his child has forgiven him.
