Veteran actress Revathy, known for her roles in films like "Love" and the "Tiger 3" franchise, has called for a shift in how society approaches women's safety. Speaking at the 6th Bharat Soka GSSI Women's Awareness Seminar in Chennai, she argued that simply telling women to be vigilant is not enough. The real change, she said, must begin at home with how boys are raised.

Revathy stressed that parents and guardians need to pay close attention to what young boys see and learn as they grow up. She pointed out that values like respect, responsibility, and a clear sense of right and wrong should be taught early and consistently. Instead of only focusing on protecting daughters, she urged families to invest equal effort in shaping sons into considerate and accountable men.

The actress also had warm words for the younger generation. She praised Gen Z for being more open, aware, and willing to question outdated norms. Revathy noted that this generation shows a genuine readiness to discuss difficult topics, including consent and equality, which gives her hope for the future. She believes that with the right guidance, young people can build a society where women do not have to live in fear. Her comments have sparked fresh conversation about the shared responsibility of parenting in creating safer communities.
