A comprehensive, free parenting class is set to begin in February, offering local families eight weeks of guided support and education. The program will run on Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., starting on February 5th.
The curriculum is built upon the evidence-based Protective Factors Framework. This approach strengthens families by enhancing parental resilience, increasing social connections, deepening knowledge of child development, providing concrete support in times of need, and fostering the social and emotional competence of children. The structured sessions are designed to equip caregivers with practical tools and strategies for navigating the challenges and joys of raising children.
The course aims to create a supportive community environment where parents and caregivers can learn and share experiences. By focusing on these foundational protective factors, the program works to build stronger, healthier family units and promote overall child well-being. The class is offered at no cost to participants, removing financial barriers to accessing valuable parenting resources. Interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spot for this valuable community initiative.
