For Jaspreet Kaur, turmeric is no longer just a crop growing on her father's land in Punjab's Moga district. It has become the foundation of a career she is building from the ground up.

Her father, Harnail Singh, spent years watching his family grow wheat and paddy like most farmers around them. He worried that conventional farming would not give his children a stable or profitable future. So he started experimenting, first with organic vegetables and mustard, then with turmeric.
