COLUMBIA — In South Carolina, faith-based pregnancy centers play a vital role in supporting expectant parents by offering a range of essential services. Annually, these centers administer over 10,000 free pregnancy tests, providing crucial early detection for women. In addition to pregnancy tests, they conduct more than 5,000 ultrasounds, allowing expectant mothers to visualize their pregnancies and receive necessary medical information.
Beyond testing, these centers also focus on education and support, offering over 1,600 classes related to parenting. These classes cover various topics, including prenatal care, newborn care, and parenting skills, equipping parents with the knowledge they need to nurture their children effectively.
The commitment of these centers to provide free and accessible services reflects their mission to support families during one of life’s most significant transitions. By addressing both the medical and educational needs of parents, faith-based pregnancy centers contribute positively to the community and the well-being of future generations.
